Very Good Winter BootsRating:5 out of 5 starsI have always worn Sorels and was in search of a new pair and decided to try these Kamik boots after seeing the quality of the Kamik’s that my daughter wears. I have not been disappointed. These boots are excellent. They keep very warm and dry and have fantastic traction. The sole is much more comfortable and supportive compared with other boots I have worn. I would highly recommend these -40deg rated boots to anyone living in areas that get cold and lots of snow.

A Decent BootRating:5 out of 5 starsThese keep my feet warm and dry during cold northern Michigan winters. If you are considering a pair of Sorrel’s, I would take a serious look at these boots instead.

  3. Warm and wonderful bootsRating:5 out of 5 starsI absolutely love these boots! I live north of Chicago and we’ve already had a couple feet of snow along with single digit temperatures. Neither were a match for these boots which perform precisely as advertised. I normally wear a size 10.5 everyday shoe, but ordered a size 12 boot to accommodate thick wool socks (they fit great).

I am most pleased with the fact that these boots have kept my feet perfectly warm and toasty (not sweaty) in cold temperatures for hours at a time. The thought of cold or uncomfortable feet has not even entered my mind, which lets me focus on sledding, playing, or shoveling snow. I have poor circulation and my hands and feet have historically given me problems in cold weather, especially my toes. Not anymore!

I also love the fact that despite trudging around in 12-14 inches of snow, the boots did not get wet or allow any snow/ice inside the boot. These come up to my calf and offer more than enough protection for the activities I’m involved in.

Two things I’d like to note… First, the boots have only a subtle left and right shape to them and no internal arch support. Second, they could use another pair of eyelets on top of the foot to help cinch up the boot a little tighter. You’ll notice that it’s a little hard to pull the laces tight and keep them tight on the bottom eyelets.

However, compared to the satisfaction these boots have brought to me, those comments are trivial. I highly recommend you add these to your winter footwear collection – you won’t regret it!
